It is easy to spin, low in greese and if you remove the guard hairs is very very soft, or leave them in for a coat that will wear forever. I love working with Churro wool. Be careful in buying fleece however as not all sellers coat their sheep or skirt it well. Some do and have very high quality but like in everything, some are lazy.

Re: Down to the yard…

Thanks, Ellen!

Re: Down to the yard…

You can also get the same answer with (new bust size)/(sample bust size) x (sample yarn weight).

Re: Head, Squared…

Hi There, I do plan to turn it into a pattern. To tell you the truth, Jay *already* lost the hat. If I recall, the pattern was in a ladies' magazine, but I can't remember which one. It was very much like the patterns you found except there was a little more horizontal space between the little towers. Sorry about the delay in replying. We're renovating and it's going to kill me.

Re: A Sweet Sweater, Rescued…

Thanks!

Re: A Sweet Sweater, Rescued…

The sweater looks fantastic. I totally agree that being around creativity spurs your own. Maybe it follows the same rule as 'things in motion tend to stay in motion' . I haven't tried any audio books yet, but I have had to put the hook down a couple of times with a good movie, and have flown through some sitcoms. I made 3 hats and started a 4th during the World Series this year (Go Giants!!) and one of my favorite things to do is watch Sons of Anarchy on Netflix while crocheting something easy like a hat or scarf. (I'm usually more of a Disney or Hallmark Channel person, but I think it's the irony that makes it so enjoyable.) I'm sure this is why creative people are bloggers, inspiring others to create and blog : ) Thank you for sharing!

Re: A Sweet Sweater, Rescued…

Thanks, Teresa, that's a good thought. I considered the fact that it might not work upside down, but I definitely want to try knitting it... maybe in a hat or a cowl... Do you remember a book that has the Eiffel Tower stitch in it?
